Madden NFL 08 fantasy draft tips?

Alright, I don't know if it makes any difference, but it's on xbox (Not xbox 360, the old fashioned xbox)



I need some pointers on Madden 08 with the fantasy draft.

Not specific players, just the order. I'll show how my first 5 picks usually go (Feel free to offer advice with it)

It's from there that I start drawing blanks. Should I go to linemen? Should I pick up a Defensive Tackle? I have been thinking of picking up a Defensive Tackle instead of an RB and picking one up even later since Running isn't a really big part of my game. Any advice will help, and, I know this seems obvious, but don't post unless you have actually DONE a fantasy draft on madden 08.. :P. Thanks in advance :DMadden NFL 08 fantasy draft tips?
umm...why a de first??



I'd go with a franchise qb first - then work on suring up the d and then the o-line - i'll even trade some draft picks to sure up certain positions if i need to



sometimes if i want to "beat the system" i'll play as 5-6 different teams, draft good players at different positions on each team, and then trade the good players to one team in particular that I want to be - yea, you could say that's cheating, but it's great when you have standout players all over the field (the trick then is staying under the cap)
Chose a Young Franchise Player first. when the cpu picks the teams all pick the same postion that round.I always we go

defense is key in madden stack it up. also look for champ bailey early.....hes incredible
Absolutely stack up your defense. Linebackers with speed such as Shaun Merriman and Demarcus Ware are a must in the 4th-8th rounds and are a huge asset in Madden. You only really need one good DT, such as Vince Wilfork or Kevin Williams to stop the running game.



If you can, get Adrian Peterson in the Second or Third round. He will slip because remember, Madden 08 was made before his insane year. I drafted him to my fantasy team and broke the single season rushing record 3 years into his career and surpassed Emmitt Smith within 10 years. By doing this, you can draft an older quarterback in later rounds, use him for a year or two while perfecting Peterson, and draft a QB in the next draft. you gotta get a QB first because when i play madden if you don't get a QB in the first round your stuck with an average QB like matt haselback (in the second round) or someone get a good QB in round one
